Round the World Trip - 18 Days 21 Hours and 41 Mins to go.

You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss
A sigh is still (just) a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by

Well it has been another couple of weeks since my last update. Well it has sort of been the same story for the last few weeks. Packing, packing, packing. We also got our bank account in the UK which is very cool and high recommend getting one before you work otherwise you have to wait 3 months until you get your first utility bill. It is a bit of a rock and a hard-place situation as you can’t get paid until you have a bank account, and you can’t get a bank account (if you wait until you get there) until you have your utility bill. You can’t get a utility bill until you have a unit and for that you need a bank account to get that. Aaarrrgggg! So get a bank account before you go.

Well with only 18 days to go it is a bit hectic as we move out of our house next weekend, so have to finish packing the house and our bags. Have to change mailing address for banks, credit cards, etc. Have to set up a mail forwarding thing just in case. Have to pay for our storage unit. So as you can see still a little bit more to do.

Anyway will do another blog entry soon. Hopefully before we go.

And when two lovers woo
They still say: "I love you"
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings

Round the World Trip - 39 Days 23 Hours and 41 Mins to go.

Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum
You came along and everything started to hum
Still its a real good bet, the best is yet to come

Well it has been awhile since I last posted and I’m sorry for that bit it has been a bit hectic. Well what has been happening since I last posted…WE GOT OUR VISAS!!!! And wow what ha turn-around. We sent them on the Thursday, they got them on the Friday, They sent them back on the Monday and we received them on the Tuesday. The British High Commission really must be commended. We also have got our travel insurance, we had to do a lot of shopping around as there are quite a lot. However there is a site which has a review on all of the different ones. Just search for “compare travel insurance” in google.

Now for the stuff that we had to get done for Australia. We have done quite a lot, booked a storage unit, book a truck for moving, continued packing up everything. Cancelled out electricity, wrote off a car, complete electoral roll OS forms, put our health insurance on hold. We also had to cancel some of our donations to charities, found out about moving our compassion account to the UK (child sponsorship). We still need to cancel phones, internet, mobiles, find a home for our dog. Well I’m sorry I have to cut this short but until next week.

Dan.
